one of the smartest animals in the ocean

Did you know there are around 300 species of octopus? Here's the other kicker... all are considered to be venomous! Researchers believe that it is used as a paralytic for predation, however the Blue Ringed Octopus is still the only one deadly to humans. As if octopuses (proper plural) weren't cool enough, they have 3 hearts that each serve a special function. Two brachial hearts pump blood through the gills on either side of their body (internal), after which it enters the systematic heart where it circulates the blood through the rest of the body and to the other organs. The only solid structure in this invertebrates body is their beak and they cans taste with the suckers on their arms! Incredibly versatile, they can camouflage, use ink, as well as evasive behaviors to avoid predators and hunt. Octopuses are easily one of the most intelligent animals in the ocean! But unfortunately for them, their honeymoon night has a deadly end as they die soon after reproducing... yikes! They truly are all around amazing animals, which I why I do not support the consumption of calamari. Or in some cultures they will eat them live... just no. They are very intelligent emotional beings!
