Swimming with a sea turtle!

These are pictures from my trip to the Keys on 20 October 2018 swimming with non other than a Green Sea Turtle... making this the best pictures I have of myself to date!

These are the most well known sea turtle species that always make appearances on tv, “save the sea turtle” companies, and any and everything else really! But did you know that they are called Green Sea Turtles because their fat is actually green in color due to their largely plant based diet on things like sea grass and for my girl Flip at @floridaaquarium romaine lettuce!

But just like the Kemp’s Ridley I talked about last week, the same things threaten these guys! Overfishing, plastic pollution, egg harvesting, habitat destruction, by catch. They’re things we all need to be mindful of, because they’re all things we influence in one way or another. And honestly and truly you guys, you can’t beat reusable stuff!!! Lasts longer, better quality, and can be personalized! There is always something you can do not matter how small and insignificant it may seem, it does matter!!
